A Step Ahead Soccer

Goooooaaalll! Through both interactive storytelling, as well as physical activities, A Step Ahead Soccer provides Presby Kids with a significant advantage in both academics and athletics. This program focuses on making learning extremely enjoyable and thoroughly captivating.

Musical Magic with Miss Melissa

Exposure to music in early years of life helps every corner of learning: from language, motor skills, social / emotional skills and cognitive development. Miss Melissa customizes her music curriculum for each of our classes to provide them with an inspiring and joyful experience through music.

Soccer Shots

Provides a high-energy program introducing children to fundamental soccer principles, such as using your feet, dribbling, and the basic rules of the game. Through fun games, songs, and positive reinforcement, Presby Kids begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active.

Fitness Fun with Ms. Regan

Applying the knowledge and themes the children are learning in the classroom, Miss Regan creates an engaging environment for the children to move their bodies. Whether it’s a fast game of tag, relaxing yoga, relay races or parachute games – the children learn the importance of good sportsmanship, strength, stamina and more.

Presby Passport Program

Preschool education at Presby Kids is a child’s first passport to the world! Through the Presby Passport Program, the children “visit” global countries learning about cultures and traditions from around the globe.  Lessons are culturally aware and developmentally appropriate for each class.

Critter Caravan

An in-house “field trip”? Yes please! Critter Caravan is traveling exotic mammal and reptile show. Their hands-on approach reinforces the belief that children learn their best using all of their senses.

Smile Ark Pediatric Dentistry

Going to the dentist shouldn’t be scary. Smile Ark Pediatric Dentistry is dedicated to having your child establish a positive relationship with the dentist. When visiting Presby, board-certified dentists and dental hygienists emphasize the importance of oral health, teaching the children about healthy food choices and how to appropriately care for their teeth and gums!

Lessons from a Nurse

Each year, Presby Kids get a visit from our school nurse! The children are taught how to keep their bodies healthy and strong, and even learn some basic anatomy in the process.

Fire Safety with a Firefighter

Lights, sirens, and water hoses – it’s always one of the most exciting days on campus when the Fairfield Fire Dept comes for a visit. They teach our students about basic fire safety and what it’s like to be a firefighter! Presby Kids love meeting these everyday heroes.

Hop on the School Bus

The wheels on the bus go round and round! What child doesn’t love riding on a big yellow school bus? This lesson helps to prepare our kids for kindergarten, especially when some of them will have to ride the bus every day! They learn the basic rules of riding and the importance of being an appropriate passenger. They even get to go for a ride around the complex!

Meet a Mailman

Our town couldn’t function without essential workers like mail carriers! At Presby Kids we welcome a mailman to the classroom to teach the kids all about the post office and how mail travels.

Lessons from the Library

It is so important for children to visit and enjoy the library from a young age. Presby Kids Nursery School has taken field trips to Fairfield Public Library and has even welcomed their librarians to our classrooms. The kids are taught how to find and check out books, how to properly handle them, as well as library etiquette.

Care for Your Cats and Dogs!

The Connecticut Humane Society is the leading resource in the state for companion animal welfare, enriching the lives of families and communities through adoption services, medical care, education, and prevention of cruelty. We love it when the Humane Society comes for a visit. They teach the kids how to love and care for animals – an important lesson since so many of our Presby Kids have pets of their own!
